We celebrated 25 years of helping Clients in February 2017. David originally left his position as a Senior Branch Manager at a high street bank and started Jerram Surlis on the 20^th February 1992. “I remember opening for business with a desk, telephone and no Clients, I have seen a lot of changes in that time but would like to feel we have stuck to our remit of providing a common sense approach and value for money service to all our Clients".

We would like to thank all of our existing Clients for their support and the many introductions they have made over the years.

We are still very much "open for business" and look forward to welcoming any new friends who join us.

After 7 years Bev decided to put away her calculator for the last time and retire in October 2018. She was a great asset to the business and sorely missed.

2019 brings significant changes to deal with. Brexit looms and Making Tax Digital is due to commence in April this year. We have been talking to those Clients who will fall into the first tranche of Businesses affected and converting those that need to into a digital record keeping programme.

A number of our Clients have been affected by the exchange rate reduction caused by Brexit along with the possible implications of a no deal. We have been advising them on what contingency plans they should put in place and discussuing options with their European partners and suppliers.

In May 2023 David decided to take more of a back seat role and welcomed Duncan and Dan into the business. The Companies name has now changed to The Accounting Hut (Romsey) Limited. The addition of new owners Duncan and Dan to the existing staff will only enhance the level of service we attempt to provide.

We will continue to look to expand the Client base and provide the service our existing Clients have grown to expect. David will continue to work behind the scenes.
